Ward won by 1 round Lol, would have been a draw if froch won ano5her round. It was a razor think decision and I think froch had worked him out towards the end.

The cards were a joke. Froch himself said they were way off. It was a 10-2/9-3 sort of fight.

I don't always agree w/ Virg but when he's right, he's really insightful and he's spot on here.
I really liked Carl the fighter but he seems to be a mentally weak individual, not unlike Kovalev. Lets things get to him and can't own up to his faults. BHop is like that too.

If that was true he would have actively pursued the rematch. His "pursuit" was half baked at best. On numerous occasions he called the rematch a "hard fight".

He didn't have him worked out, Ward had just slowed down and Froch needed a knockout so was throwing caution to the wind, anyway Froch is a 15 round fighter, and someone who would have performed better in the 15 round days. In a 12 round fight against Ward? No chance, zero.

In terms of scoring, always subjective so not going to dismiss your opinion, but 90% of people had Ward wide. If you really try and give Froch ALL the swing rounds you can have it 8-4 Ward. Froch was comprehensively outlanded, clean punching, ring generalship, effective aggression, all in favour of Ward. The two 115-113 cards allowed Froch to walk away with his head held high, but they did not tell the real story of the fight.

Froch killed that fight by insisting on Nottingham. Ward said he would come to the UK, which is more than a fair compromise. Froch nor Hearn really fancied that fight, you are deluding yourself if you think otherwise, and I am a fan of both guys, not a fan of Froch and probably the biggest Ward hater on here, like you.

I don't think Froch wins that fight anywhere. Froch sc****d past Dirrell in Nottingham, Ward is another level up from Dirrell, much more consistent, much harder to beat.

ward didnt want the rematch and thats a fact, he was more interested in fighting guys like paul smith and trying to sue his promoter who was dying of cancer.

Fowl Crotch suffers from a late bloomer's downward spiralling self-pity. His best young years were deprived of pay days and fame.. and he peaked relatively at the end of his career. It's also overlooked that;

1) George Groves wasn't really a legacy fight in the grand scheme of the Word Recognised History Book's Hall of Famers. Groves was a substandard inferior opponent that made froch look vulnerable - and at times ******.

2) The 80,000 record he jerked off to didn't last long (pipped by Joshua v Klitscko)!

3) Results aside, one cannot rule out that the two George Groves fights retired him. Groves is heavy handed (Eduard Gutknecht's still in intensive care for nearly a year), so when considering froch blocked the accumulation of Groves punches with his broken nose, jawbones, cheekbones and upper skull... the accumulation most definitely could have taken its toll to put a somewhat premature end to his career! Think about it.. what a knob for desperately seeking Chavez Jr (after the 1st Groves fight) and trying to build it up as a swan song.. clear evidence he wasn't hungry for a Groves rematch!

5) He never fought in Vegas! .. that probably still bothers the **** out of him stewing him ever deeper into self-pity

6) Don't forget he needed a shrink to help him prepare for the 2nd Groves fight.. so he ****ed up his tough guy image with that alone.. If he so wanted a legacy fight, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place .. there was GGG .. or Stevenson and/or Kovalev if he moved up a weight!.. any one of their punches potentially finish what Groves should have!
