    MOSCOW, November 25. / Corr. TASS Igor Lazorin. Japanese boxer Kyotaro Fujimoto signed a contract and will be the reserve rival of Russian Alexander Povetkin in case Romanian Christian Hammer refuses to fight. TASS reported the executive director of the promotional company RCC Boxing Promotion Alexei Titov.
    "Fujimoto signed a contract," Titov said.

    Duel Povetkin - Hammer is scheduled for December 15 in Yekaterinburg. As the manager of the Romanian boxer Erol Saylan previously told TASS, the winner of the fight will meet with the champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight champion New Zealander Joseph Parker.
    In addition to Fujimoto, the organizers considered American BJ Joy Flores as a reserve contender, but he was refused to accept his candidacy.
    Fujimoto spent all his fights in Japan. On his account, 18 wins (10 by knockout) and one defeat.

    Trying to think of a way Fujimoto could possibly make it to round 2 and i'm stumped.

        His best win is over Chauncy Welliver after CW lost 60lbs. Fujimoto has the WBO Oriental belt & the OPBF title giving him a rank in the WBO & WBC. He lost to Solomon Huamono. Fujimoto would get crushed by any legit top 25 HW. I doubt he beats many in the top 50. He is too small. He fights trialhorse opposition & gets hit. Povetkin will destroy him if they fight.

          How so? The Japanese have been dominating boxing for decades, you just have to look at Wladiming Klishimoto and Anthoto Joshimitsu for recent examples of dominant heavyweight champs from Japan

                  Some consider his WBA regular title win a reign. Now the same people call Charr a world champion after beating Ustinov. I don’t consider the regular belt holder the champ.

                    Those guys arent full Japanase only a quarter . Fujimoto will conquer boxing a full decade if he gets past Povetkin,hes really hitting his stride give or take another year .
