He should face Barrera before he gets in with Kov!

Needs someone to push him or get Gvozdyk in there!

    175 is heating up!!!

Kovalev-Barrera and Bivol against a solid opponent in March. Winners face each other this summer. Easy fights to make as well.

Kovalev won't face Beterbiev in his first two defenses, that's for sure. I think Barrera and Bivol are on his list. I'm not saying this is bad news, because it's great oposition and both very dangerous fights for Kovalev.

I’m down for that card 100%, Kovalev vs Gvodyzk would be the most logical fight to make for that card IMO, he’s ranked #1 by the WBO as well.

Who do you favor between Bivol and Barrera?

I like the Cuban in the match up, he's more of a better operator and has good shot selection!

Bivol is smooth and brings it but something tells me he might have an extra gear!

I think Bivol gets the stoppage win, I still don’t trust that Barrera chin, although he does always recover well after being hurt/dropped. I agree Bivol definitely has gears, I remember watching him beat that Valera for the interim title and he boxed in first gear all night, he can definitely step it up if he wants just like he did against Agnew.
I really hope this fight gets made, I’ve been high on Bivol for a few years this would be the perfect acid test.

Stevenson, Kovalev, Bivol, Barrera, Jack, Alvarez, Beterviev, Gvozdyk. Some interesting guys at 175, veterans, contenders and 'prospects'.

A world boxing super series between these guys would be fun.
