Trout hit Hurd hard and often through out the fight. Hurd has a good chin and he is game and tough. He weathered Trout's storm and went on to score the KO. I think Jacobs would be a different story. Jacobs is just as fast, clever and skillful as Trout. The difference is Jacobs is bigger, stronger, hits much harder and takes a punch better than Trout. Jacobs would also hit Hurd a lot. Let's face it, Hurd blocks a lot of punches with his face. He is easy to hit. Jacobs would stop Hurd just as he has stopped most of his other opponents in my opinion.

Hurd has 2 inches in height and 3 inches in reach on DJ, people think DJ is big? This guy is even bigger.

You can tell he doesn't respect his opponent's power, he fought like a mad man the 2nd half of the fight against Trout when he let his hands go.

He really sits down on his shots and when he does decide to let his hands go he looks like an incredible fighter.

He's all wrong for DJ, he's way too durable, negates DJ's size, and has too much power for a man dropped by Mora and KO'd by Pirog.

Hurd only has the size specifically height. But Jacobs is used to fighting at that weight and fighting bigger men.

If Jacobs land the shots Trout did against Hurd, it will be an early night.

He would have to respect Jacob's power, Hurd has a lot of flaws that he can get away with cause hide size and chin. What happens when a guy who's relatively his own size who's faster, hits hard, and is technically better then him. His footwork will be his down fall

Hurd already fought Harrison who matches all that criteria. A guy his size moving up should give him even more durability and stamina.

It's actually DJ that lacks the experience against bigger fighters, the closest he came was that faded version of Quillin he blasted out early and Pirog.

DJ isn't a 1 punch knockout artist, he relies on accumulation punches which are very inaccurate and has a very leaky defense. He keeps his left hand low and often gets countered by right hands, it's the punch that Pirog put him out with, even Truax was landing it. He goes straight back as well, you can't do that against a guy with a 76" reach and a monster right hand. He sho

Stylistically I think it favors Hurd, he's relentless, more so than ggg, you can actually get ggg's respect on the ropes like Canelo/DJ did but Hurd will eat your shots and keep throwing. He's very awkward and a damn good inside fighter which of course will favor the tougher fighter.

Hurd is a better fighter than his last 2 outings and he still won big time. I favor Jacobs because he is the better fighter of the 2 but this would be a tough, grueling fight. If Jacobs crumbled under the pressure Hurd would definitely seize the opportunity and pull out a win.

Hurd is not a walking punching bag like he fought in the last 2 fights but I guess that style is working for him.
