Comments Thread For: Austin Trout: Jacobs Beat Golovkin, He's The Best at 160!

Former super welterweight champion Austin "No Doubt" Trout agrees with the observers who thought Gennady "GGG" Golovkin deserved the win against Canelo Alvarez in September at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight ended up being scored a draw and the verdict was split among fans and experts alike with many believing Golovkin had done enough to win and some feeling that Canelo had edged out the fight while others believed that the draw was the right call.

Watching it live I thought Jacobs did win the fight, and I thought he won it comfortably, I was sure the scores of 116-111, 115-112(2X) where in his favor, watching it live i was utterly shocked when they said and still

all the losers all of a sudden become experts... turning the sound down does not do any good because you must stimulate what a judge's hearing as well the best thing to do is keep the volume loud

Jacobs had a moral victory because he went 12 when everyone said he'd get stopped. That's all, no more and no less.

He won about 5 rounds and got dropped. Good performance considering the chance everyone said he had, but that's all it was.

What casual fans also dont see or feel is the impact of punches. Ive been ringside and felt a boxers BLOCKED punches shake the 1st few rows up. Ive also seen a Paulie fighter throw his most powerful punch and it sounds like a queef...

i was at the Lara/Canelo fight. Another thing you dont see that I watch AND judges do to is the corner and how much damage they are trying to repair. Lara's body was BROKEN by Canelo casual fans dont think body shots count or see the ENTIRE corner ONLY working on the body.

Exactly. Trout... another loser with a distorted image of self importance. If he knew a little more about what it takes to win he wouldn’t be on the losing end of the judges scorecards so much.

Honestly ill bet GGG to KO Jacobs next time. They wont let him blow up and Jacobs knows he cant run to win. Glass Chin will get TKO'D not just dropped next time.
