Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Says Door is Wide Open For Scott Quigg To Join

Promoter Frank Warren has invited Scott Quigg to compete with fellow featherweights Carl Frampton, Josh Warrington and Lee Selby next year. Quigg worked as a pundit for BT Sport during Frampton's homecoming in Belfast, and when asked in an interview on the brand new BoxNation Podcast about where the Bury boxer fits into the Featherweight division, Warren invited Quigg into the mix.

I can't understand why Scott's not taken a fight in LA while he's been at the Wildcard. It would have served him well promotional wise.

        Nope...😂😂😂😂
He didn’t “freeze” he got completely OUTBOXED for the first 6 rounds, the only reason he had some minor success later on was because Frampton’s work rate dropped.
You sky fanboys are sooo deluded.😭😭

Seems like he is going to fight on the undercard of Santa Cruz vs. Mares rematch, as eventually he will be facing the winner as he now holds the WBA #1 ranked contender position

Quigg listened to Tesco Joe and decided to try and outbox Frampton, despite Quigg being pretty basic skills wise and Frampton being a technician.

If Quigg had forced Frampton into a war from the start, it might have been a different result.

I wouldn't say minor success. The rounds Quigg won, he won bigger than Frampton, he just didn't win enough.

Quigg was really getting on top and hurting Frampton at the end of the fight.

I say that as a Frampton fan, not a Quigg one.

I agree with your analysis of the fight, and, IMO, the blame lies with Joe Gallagher.

But, now, Quigg's undergoing a style change. With Roach, he's taking more punishment, in order to land his shots. To me, this is a backward step, and he's looked a real mess in his last two fights.

Wouldn't mind Frampton vs Quigg 2 as long as it wasn't PPV

Would probably be on BT Sports but free for subscribers on Boxnation.

Quigg should definitely jump into this Mini Tournament as he could be waiting around the whole of 2018 for the winner of Santa Cruz vs Mares.

                    Warrington vs Selby

                    Frampton vs Quigg

Winners of each then face each other later in Year and Losers face each other too.
