Most of Eubank's world title wins were bull**** fights against handpicked opponents anyway. People forget that apart from Benn and Watson, he never beat anyone world class. His only other good fights were losses to Calzaghe, Collins and Thompson at CW. The rest were ****.

Eubank Snr has always been deluded about his achievements, I think he must have been ignored as child or something because he's always taken every opportunity to grab some limelight where possible. He had an entertaining rivalry with Benn, but Calzaghe and Collins were truly world class.

Angelo Dundee, Ray Arcel, Hector Roca to name a few great coaches who never fought... teaching is an art... a great mathematician doesn't make a great maths teacher but a great maths teacher can make a great mathematician

Never understood how people could become boxing coaches without actually ever even punching a bag themselves

******* saunders didnt want anything to do with a rematch....for obvious reasons. eubank is one of the most improved fighters in the game today
Its pretty hard to gauge he's improvement since he hasn't fought anyone on Saunders level since the fight. Saunders beat Lee for the title, has beaten Monroe and is fighting Lemieux next. Eubank has fought a novice Aussie and an unknown Turk. No way of knowing if he's improved yet. The Groves fight will reveal alot.

As much as I don't rate Shane and he's "modern methods" he did box,and came from a father who held a world title ect. There have been decent trainers who haven't boxed pro, or won titles.

That's not just the sound of your ego rumbling down the road Mr Eubank - it's the sound of a bus packed with humility and irksome fans who are sick of your pompous, self-righteous sermons.
You don't have to be a former HOF to be a good trainer - plenty of the best trainers out there weren't the best fighters ever - Roach, McGirt, and so on.
Eubank Sr just loves an opportunity to push his chest out and try to remind everybody how incredibly brilliant he was and still is.
He and Wilder would make a great match. Good luck to Groves, hope he puts a dent in the Eubank family tin crest.

I have doubts over Shame McGuigan as a trainer, I don't think he is terrible - just not as good as he believes himself to be.

However Eubank Snr is the very worst type of trainer (maybe not for his son) egotistical and nonsensical.

Eubank Snr is just trying the mind games, he wants to come across and articulate and clever, but in reality he is insecure and ****** beyond usual standards.

                      fair enough if he boxed
Some coaches have never even threw a punch
