Comments Thread For: Eubank Sr: I Don't See How George Groves Will Go The Distance

Although the official announcement is not expected until Thursday, various outlets reported on Monday in the UK, most notably The Sun and Mirror, that the all-British showdown between fellow Londoners George Groves (27-3, 20 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr. (26-1, 20 early) will take place in Manchester on February 17, with the city's Arena the venue for the highly-anticipated World Boxing Super Series super middleweight semi-final showdown.

Dont get it twisted he was very good, you have not put somebody in a coma, so cannot comment after the 2nd watson fight was not the same before he was bad, he hardly ever knocked out an opponent since that fight so before you run up your mouth check your facts, Steve Collins is the biggest con artist out there he fought benn and eubanks when they was over the hill and the first fighter at his peak he could have fought he retired, he kept going on about Fighting Roy Jones, he got mastered many years ago by Mike McCullum and Reggie Johnson

Both boxers are evenly match and each of them likes to scrap. This could be explosive. I may just make my way up to Manchester to watch this in person

If Groves can somehow solve his endurance problem and he if he doesnt fade away and lose his legs in the championship rounds, I think hes going to win. IMO, he has a little more sting in his punches than Eubanks but as far as boxing ability this is a 50/50. Hand speed is fairly even or I might even again give a slight advantage to Groves in that as well. I got Groves winning by SD or a very close UD.

Once Eubank stops a world class fighter I'll get excited, until then it's just boasting. Can't believe how everyone loses their minds when he knocks over a complete unknown.

I've never been a fan of Collins but Eubank wasn't over the hill when Collins beat him. It was just styles. Eubank was always lazy and prone to being out worked, and he had the benefit of a few questionable verdicts. He's luck ran out vs Collins.Steve definitely would've got bashed up by Calzaghe though and Eubank stepped up like the warrior he was. One of the toughest men in UK boxing.
