Unbeaten World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion, Rey Vargas, says he's honored to be part of the card on December 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he will defend his belt against unbeaten "Jaguar" Negrete. The card is headlined by WBO junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

Negrete is moving up in weight. Probably no fireworks.

Rey is too good for Oscar. MSG is a big deal, but this is just a showcase fight. Vargas by out class in every aspect.

I'm actually looking forward to this fight more than the Cotto vs Ali fight. Vargas looks to be Nachos next Marquez caliber type fighter for a decade.

Vargas has higher caliber skills than Negrete even though Oscar has improved under Manny Robles.

I give Negrete a shot but Vargas is on another level in my opinion.

I completely agree with everything you wrote. Vargas could slowly go all the way to 140 and possibly even 147. He can be competitive, perhaps even dominant on every class up to 140. The good thing is that he's only 26 years old so he still has a lot of great fights in him. Definitely he will get better with time and with Nacho in his corner. I'm excited about Rey.

This guy has a lot of talent, great skill set.

And has a great height to the weight, but he is a boxer, has a very good footwork.

              WAR VARGAS!

Vargas getting some good exposure. England, LA, NYC in 3 fights. Nacho can still produce top fighters even at close to 80 years old.

We can agree sometimes. Vargas boxes, not run around then jump in swinging. He uses angles to set up his jab and combos. Not a lot of grabbing and stopping the action. I don't know how good he is, but he's good.
