Stallone picked Tarver for the flick, but he'll bet on Hopkins.

It's too much of a coincidence for me to handle, to see Tarver facing Hopkins right after doing that **** with the movie. And personally, I think Sylvester Stallone, a man who knows his Boxing and loves to bet on Boxing, was informed by the man who had plans to arrange Tarver vs Hopkins, that Tarver is a very likely opponent for Bernard Hopkins. This is when Stallone phoned Tarver on his cell and told him he wanted him to become a Heavyweight for the movie.. Stallone used the power of his occupation to create odds for himself at the betting booth. It's pretty obvious.

First of all you have to look at the style disadvantage Tarver is already at facing Hopkins. Hopkins straight right hand, will be the debilitating punch on Tarver for a few reasons, but the main 4 are that the straight right hand is already the southpaw's worst nightmare. That's a given, but when the guy throwing that straight right hand is the best defensive fighter in the world, and one of the top 3 counterpunchers in the world, you got a problem on your hands..Finally, the weight Tarver put on and then took off will hinder him defensively, all of these factors playing in Bernard Hopkins' favor. And if you really think about it, Tarver isn't even close to Bernard's level. Tarver keeps calling himself a legend killer, yet Roy Jones was the perfect fight for him stylewise. Let's see him kill a legend who gives him a style disadvantage, something I know for sure that arrogant crackhead won't do.

I hope Hopkins wins. I'm not a big fan of Hopkins but I respect the man who beat the man (Tito Trinidad, my favorite fighter).

squarecirlce, Im not even going to respond to your 1st paragraph because that has to be a joke but on your 2nd paragraph, I think you should give Tarver a littile more respect then that. He may not be as great as he thinks but he is far from garbage.

Tarver will be the much bigger fighter and his straight left is way more dangerous then Hopkins straight right. Tarver is also a defensive genious and can do it all in the ring so dont act like Tarver is just outclassed because that is crazy

Whoa......I don't know about all that conspiracy ****.Tarver is going to beat the **** out of Hopkins IMO too.I like both guys but Tarver being the bigger, stronger and a south Paw bodes very well for him.If Hopkins could not get Taylor out of there what makes anyone believe he can even compete with Tarver who is a similar built fighter but a lefty.
