Why do people think Thurman vs Spence is a foregone conclusion??

I've noticed a lot of people think Thurman vs Spence will be Spence giving Thurman a beatdown, and getting a relatively easy W. I honestly don't think it's that simple. Thurman has some very good attributes, and for me is athletically the better fighter, he has the better hand speed, foot speed and his lateral movement will certainly cause Spence problems early on. In saying that, Spence has legit skills and legit power himself and Thurman has shown some vulnerability in the past especially to the body. If I was pushed to make a prediction, I'd say Thurman will outbox Spence early on but Spence will eventually get to Thurman break him down and stop him in the later rounds, but Thurman may have more resilience than I suspect.
Regardless this is a great fight, and I'm hopefully optimistic it happens in 2018, however this may require Thurman to fight more than "one time" this year which he hasn't tended to do in recent years.
How do other people see this fight going??🥊

I can see Thurman keeping at bay & boxing Errol for the win but I can also see Errol stopping Thurman with a body shot. It can go either way but I'm picking Errol for the body shot stoppage. Errol seems to want it more than Keith. Errol licks his chops like a hungry Lion when he sees Keith & Keith seems hesitant.

Close fight. I can see Thurman boxing to a 12-round decision. If it was a 15-round fight, no. So basically can Spence break down Thurman before the fight ends?

I believe Thurman is the better fighter and would win BUT he's been out of the ring for awhile now. He seems to be preoccupied with other things, like his significant other and his wedding.....Is his heart still in the fight game?? Hopefully it is.

Great minds must think alike because that's exactly how I see it.Thurman uses his better footwork to win 1st few rounds and his power keeps Spence from getting too careless. But as it gets to mid rounds Spence's bodywork and Thurman ? stamina starts to break him down.I say after 8-9 it will be close to even with Spence pulling out after that.I see a late KD maybe but I think Thurman hears final bell and jimmy lennon telling him he is FORMER champ.

He has been on the 1 fight a year sked now for awile. And read interview where he seems to like it.Thats why I don't see him improving on a very good set of skills.

Keith is DEFF the hesitant one which tells you a lot.

No one thinks Spence would beat Thurman easily. That was literally a strawman argument. Thurman is the man of the division as he is the only unified champion, Spence has the tools to beat him though. It will be a highly competitive, highly fought bout between two undefeated fighters at the peak of their powers. That is exactly what boxing is about.
