Im no Bellew fan, but when he signed to fight Haye the first time, Haye wasn’t thought of as a one legged old man. Everyone assumed Haye was going to KO Bellew viciously in the first couple rounds. Regardless of the strange outcome of the fight, I just don’t see where u can even compare his to Wilder in terms of being a cherry picker. He fought that undefeated Makabu dude who was thought of as a dangerous southpaw cruiser, he fought BJ Flores who was nothing special and then he signed to go up to heavyweight and face Haye. Since their fight ended bizarrely he signed to fight him again in a fight that will bring a lot of interest in the UK. I just don’t see the dude as some example of what’s wrong with modern fighters. I could name off quite a few guys who cherrypick and don’t have the mentality of wanting to fight the best before I ever got to Bellew in my opinion.
