David Higgins, the promoter of WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs), believes IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is "more hype and glamour than substance." Higgins is currently negotiating with Eddie Hearn, promoter of Joshua, to reach an agreement for a first quarter showdown in 2018. The fight, if done, would likely land on a date in March or April.

Man, Parker and his team are talking a loooooot of smack right now hahahah. Reminds me of when Charles Martin came over talking big or when Whyte had so much to say, even Breazeale. But after the fights, they were all silent hahahah. Parker is decent at best and hasn't KOed anyone since he started to step up a couple of years ago. For him to say that he will KO AJ is just laughable really. Also to say that Wilder is the tougher fight is laughable too because Wilder hasn't fought anyone in the top 30 yet other than Stiverne, who he didn't KO in their first fight either. Wilder and Parker are doing their best to goad AJ into fighting them but I'm telling you, they are going to get a rude awakening when they finally do fight him. And the more Parker is talking right now, the harder he will hit the canvas hahah.

Seems obvious that they've been upping their smack talk to get AJ angry enough to really wanna fight and accept 35%. I highly doubt Parker and Barry think AJ is soft.
