Comments Thread For: Tony Bellew Has Options in Fallout of David Haye Rematch

When the rematch of one's biggest career win falls apart due to opponent injury, it can be assumed there is little worse to the ear. A whole training camp, and the check that goes with it, up in smoke. For Tony Bellew, the news that an injured David Haye won't make their December 17th date doesn't have to be a disaster. Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KO) seems to have no shortage of suitors. In interviews, the 34-year old former WBC cruiserweight titlist hasn't sounded long for the game even before his upset of Haye in March.

Hearn wanted to make Bellew vs Haye 2... with the rematch as having relevance for the UK market only... It's hard to believe that Hearn would look for replacing Haye in that December 17th card -- he will lose credibility (he already "replaced" Pulev not long ago)...

Bellew wont end up fighting anyone and if he does it sure as hell wont be a title holder or top contender.

Should just fight a complete bum like Dave Allen. Idiotic Matchroom Boxing fans would fill out an arena for that fight, since for some reason Dave Allen is popular.

Bellew will sit and wait for Haye, no way he risks that payday against a natural HW.

His option is to wait for Haye. No other fight is going to pay him anywhere near as much outside of AJ, and that one is not in the cards.

Big Dosser ? Fluff Furry would put him away one punch seal in job too, Tony 'they call you the Bomber, I call you the Bell End' Bellew, Furry would beat them both in the same night in his current shape. Hearn should make those fights.
