Only good fights that HBO has put on has been in the lower divisions where the fighter are getting paid peanuts to fight. The Superfly card along with the Salido, Berchelt and Vargas fights are easy to make and put on for HBO because none of those fighters are getting paid more 500k. When it comes to HBO's big names like Cotto, GGG, Canelo, Kovalev, Jacobs and so on, HBO will pay to air their mismatches on regular HBO but has to put their fights on PPV when they fight a known fighter. Just look at Cotto's last 2 mismatches. HBO wasn't willing to pay for some of Cotto's fights when he was with RocNation but somehow paid for his last 2 mismatches with GB? Say what you want about Showtime, but at least they don't have to put on fights with 2 good named fighters on PPV.
