Rigondeaux's career was not wasted! He is who he is. He's not an A side fighter and never will be. He is not a PPV fighter and never will be!

LOL! your quote on Arum! "He's a very good fighter, but it's not a very pleasing style." -Arum

    Hardly a vote of confidence!

Funny how a lot of fight fans want to give style points for running and dancing but that **** if for Dancing with the Stars!

The rest of us want to see a fight. not some fighter like we saw last weekend crying after a little boo boo!

I'm probably a minority here but I think a lot of it has to do with race

Maybe if Rigo moved up for Loma in 2015, and beat him, he would've had more opportunities to fight top level opponents. Every 122lb fighter, who could fight worth a ****, moved up to 126, so I don't understand why Rigo didn't do the same. I highly doubt HBO made him turn down Loma for cab drivers, especially since they threw the former to the wolves. Now, the odds are stacked against him, and it's his fault. It's unlikely that he'll beat Loma, and even if he does, his age will catch up to him eventually.

I've heard that before, and I doubt it. You can explain to me why you think Rigo's failure is due to racism, if you want. I don't mind discussing this with you.

Rigo has literally one of the most aesthetically pleasing styles to watch besides Floyd
Maybe for the fans who can appreciate the technical side of boxing, but casual fans? I don't know about that. If you're talking about the guys he's been knocking out since Donaire, they're bums. Fights aren't as entertaining, when you can already tell who's gonna win. Amagasa was an exception, but he's just one of the many bums Rigo's fought.

Rigo's 37, and moving up 8lb. Even if he keeps his speed, I don't think his stamina will hold up long enough for him to maintain it, going into the middle rounds. I think Rigo's best chance at winning, is to take Loma out within the first 1/2 of the match. If Rigo has to go the distance, Loma will probably wear him out.

Because his style of boxing is not appealing to a casual boxing spectator and he himself is not smart enough to understand it (always wants too much money).

What I'm trying to get across is the seeds were planted long before his stinkers. Read Arums comments right after Donaire.
True, Arum obviously didn't like him, but it's not like HBO made him fight boring in the Agbeko showcase and the PPV spot on Canelo-Cotto. Those were excellent opportunities that he blew and seemed to not care.
