Cotto paid Golovkin step aside money to fight Canelo. The WBC wanted that fight to happen. The winner was to fight G but it never happened because Canelo gave up his belt claiming that the WBC wasn't being fair to him.
Eubank didn't get the fight because his Dad who is a control freak and ego maniac meddled so badly in the negotiations that K2 snd Hearn had enough. He wanted to pick the announcers for sky sports. He wanted to set the ticket prices. Eddie Hearn who was involved in the negotiations said this
""Chris Eubank Jr. hasn't made one decision, he doesn't breathe without his dad's say so. All the negotiations were done with Chris Eubank Sr. and the lawyer."
He also had this to say.

Those aren't lies those are the things that happened and why those fights didn't take place.

He's a boxer. Cotto had no intention of fighting Golovkin as a true Middleweight.
Sauliman's statement about some of the arrangements for the Cotto Martinez fught and Cotto's refusal to pay the sanctioning fee for the Canelo fight.
"The WBC, for two years, participated the process for the WBC to make Cotto-Canelo in many ways - including helping step-aside agreement reached with Marco Antonio Rubio so Cotto could fight Martinez. So that same rule that applied and helped him become champion, is being questioned by himself."
Cotto refused to pay the sanctioning fee of $300,000 dollars for the Canelo fight. The WBC also asked Golovkin to facilitate the Cotto Canelo fight by stepping aside to make the fight. The fight was a huge event for the WBC and a feather in their cap so they wanted it to happen.
After Rubio, and Golovkin both took the step aside which ultimately led to Canelo winning the title. Canelo vacated because he was issued an order to fight Golovkin.

... now you're not objective, doe... Cotto simply forced him into this... Cotto sold his belt to the highest bidder (Canelo) and also paid GGG into the process... you remember that Cotto even refused to pay WBC for that "title defense"... WTF?...

          How you doing Maxi?

Lil’G been interim WBC Champ since Rubio. How long did the WBC allow the interim to slide with step asides along with Geale for Cotto?

Even funnier how long did Heilland wait as Interim Champ to fight Lil’G? You think Heilland stood on the sides for free waiting for his turn?

          Lol

Again... when posters fail with their own standards
