Did HBO FAIL For Telling BOB They DIDNT Want Rigo? ESPN Could BREW a RIGOLOMA Trilogy

What if Kellerman convinces ESPN Sports Execs that this trilogy is the fight to push?

Gotta admit, there's no other platform that is hosting this level of upper echelon badness! blap blap blap!

HBO ****ed up by passing on this grand master chess match.

A trilogy is a must, wonder how long it'll take before a solid shot is landed by either man.

HBO and Bob Arum both screwed the pooch with Rigondeax. Say what you want about the clear bias on HBO (I've said plenty), they use to have the ability to sell the audience on the story of the fighter that they wanted to sell, regardless of how **** the actual fight matchup was. Beyond that, Top Rank are allegedly the best matchmakers in the history of history to hear folks here tell it.

After the Donaire wipeout, the plan should've been straightforward; Top Rank was to put Rigondeax in with fighters who will come forward (regardless of their ability), and HBO would sell the marvel of the performance.

If something were to come up (a big money fight with Frampton's or Santa Cruz) you deal with the style clash, but there was a way to package Rigondeax that could've worked.

I personally think they were right ot drop Rigo as he was ratings poison with no good fights on the horizon. It didn't make sense for him to be a headlining fighter at the time and he wanted too much money to be a co-main. I've a ton of respect for the guy and look forward to the Loma fight, but don't think we can speculate a trilogy when we've no idea how this one will go down. Could end up being dominant one way or the other.

Promoters are just getting lazy. Even the UFC tries to tell fighters its their fault they cant draw.

Promoters just want guys who push themselves.

I think Loma will win by a wide enough margin that no rematch will be called for.

I would love ESPN to become the home of boxing. **** HBO, Showtime, and their PPVs.

And Pac/Horn into Loma/Rigo is a GREAT start btw
