Poland - At 40 years of age, former two-division world champion and long-time heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek (52-5, 30 KOs) is struggling along but still finding a way to get another W in his record. This time Goral, fighting in front of passionate home crowd, got a hard-fought decision over Cameroonian Fred Kassi (18-7-1, 10 KOs), two year his junior. Final scores were: 97-93 and 96-94 (x2) - for the Pole.

Adamek can just keep fighting journeymen and gatekeepers in Poland until the end of time and his fans will pack those arenas. Damn Poles love that guy. Get ready for something like Adamek vs Gjergjaj in March

jarjar would proly win that fight, adamek needs to retire unless he wants to be a vegetable. It's one thing taking punches from fred kassi (who is not a real HW) but its another to continue to eat punishment from 220+ lb guys, he got brutally KO'd by schoolteacher eric molina ffs!

On a positive note those polish shows are tremendous, epic sound production

Yep, eastern Europe knows how to put on a show. Aren't we about due for one of those big Russian shows? Feels like we haven't had one in a while, I need my fix for Russian Buffer!!!

Reluctant to be the typo/grammar **** on here but it's so regular I have to read every article as if it were a text message with spelling mistakes and atrocious grammar.
I thought this was a professional boxing news site.
'Two years Adamek's junior...Fred Kassi, 28..?'. Wouldn't use this site for reference. And some yahoo was on here ridiculing people/fans who use Box.Rec, as if that were amateurish... For Darwin's sake the IBO use Box.Rec plus the TBRB (Transnational Boxing Rankings Board) to come up with a fair computerized rankings system far better, fairer and less corrupt than the four major organisations.

I don't think he can compete at the top level anymore. He was ahead on the cards before he got knocked out by Eric Molina. I agree with you that he could fight a few more years if he carefully selects his opposition. I say go fight a Pole. I'm not sure if I would put him in with Ugonoh or Kownacki at this point but Zimnoch & Rekowski are fights he could handle. I'm sure he is getting paid well headlining cards in Poland. Kassi was only 204lbs! He is usually in the 230s. I knew something looked different then it hit me. He shed 30lbs & was just above the CW limit.
