That's surprising, I thought Melindo would rematch Budler. Not complaining about this though, seems like a 50-50 fight. I hope Taguchi wins so he could fight Tanaka in 2018 though.

Yeah whats going on here? I thought the IBF ordered a immediate rematch between Milan Melindo and Hekkie Budler after the shady officiating and scores! does anyone know if Bud injured or taken step-aside money?

Taguchi was gonna fight Tanaka on this card but unfortunately Tanaka has a hand injury. I think Taguchi outpoints Melindo, then hopefully we get Tanaka-Taguchi in 2018!
I'd like to see Shiro get in the mix too providing he gets past this Pedraza guy.

I think it may be a case of a unification overriding a mandatory. I feel for Budler though, I thought he deserved the nod vs Melindo, definitely deserves a rematch. Wouldn't mind seeing Budler get a slot on the undercard vs a guy like Yaegashi
