Ortiz will be a watered down win by the time he fights Wilder or Joshua bc in all likelyhood were looking at 2019 now . Hell he might not even fight until then? lol

The Hopkins path
He may have to take the same path as Hopkins where he fights all thr contenders until there is no one left except him. When Don King ruled the middleweight division he wouldn't give Hopkins the big money fights. I saw Hopkins as a champ at the equestrian arena in Maryland and I think his purse was 40000. Ringside seats were 65 dollars. He beat everyone then he told king middleweight tournament with all your guys for 6 million. It sucks but Wilder may have to go the same route beat them all stay active until Joshua has no space. That is if he really wants this.Comment

If Wilder has a voluntary fight next, then he should choose Big Baby Miller for his next opponent! Ortiz blew his shot, and hasn't fought in 11 months! Big Baby just handled his business, and the Barclay's would fill up for Wilder vs. Miller! Make it happen!Comment

The WBC will not allow it this will be a major setback for Deontay Wilder it won't just be a loss it'll be an ass whoopingComment

Wilder won't get AJ next, that much you can bank on. Parker would be good, Breazeale ok, (since there is bad blood and a lawsuit because Wilder scared him or something) Miller would be good, Whyte, and yes Ortiz. Good options to help build his resume.
I think Wilder vs Ortiz is possibly better than Wilder vs Parker. Wilder doesn't have to fight him, so him verbally agreeing is positive.Comment

Better chance that you get the fights for a day/night card, tbh (Showtime airs the Joshua fight in the afternoon before then using the re-air as the lead in for Wilder in the evening; Sky Sports Box Office runs their night of fights ending with Joshua, and then has the undercard fights and the Wilder main event to end the night near 3am).Comment

Not surprised by Wilder - he would rather fight Ortiz for peanuts on PBC than fight Dillian for $3 mil in front of a huge crowd in the UK.Comment
