How about 220 to 260 which happens at HW? You don't see those guys complaining.

Anthony Joshua weighed in as 255 in his last fight, Wilder was 220.

The weight difference between Joshua and Wilder will be much bigger by any criteria than between Loma and Rigo yet everyone still wants that fight.

People do complain about it though. That's why one of the sanctioning bodies, probably the WBC, wants to make a super heavyweight division. Or that's why the IBF requires a 2nd weigh in and a rehydration clause where a fighter can't gain a huge amount of weight after the weigh in. It's all about making sure there's as even a playing field as possible.

I'm not saying that fighters need to be exactly the same size, but the weigh, the size, does make a difference.

The thing is that the fans and other heavyweights still give credit to 260 lbs HWs beating 220 lbs HWs. Lennox got credit for beating smaller men, Klitschko got credit for beating smaller men and Joshua will get a lot of credit if he beats Wilder convincingly.

Yet those same people won't give much credit to Lomachenko for being "bigger" than Rigondeaux.

I'm calling out the hypocrisy. Either you dismiss the wins of super-HW or give credit if Loma wins against Rigo. Personally I'm with the latter.

At the end of the day being slightly bigger than opponent is a physical trait just like being slightly faster or having a slightly better chin.

I understand that weight classes exist for a reason but only to prevent ridiculous mismatches like Rigo vs Ward or something like this.

And at least Rigo and Loma will both weigh in at the same weight, even if Loma re-hydrates to a bigger weight... Joshua will weigh in at a much heavier weight and then rehydrate to an even bigger weight i assume.
