Why isn't BOXING covered on ESPN/Sportscenter?

Boxing isnt mainstream bc its not shared by most ppl not in the U.S anyway. Walk into a pizza shop and ask them about boxing (current times ) and then ask random ppl about baseball or football inthe afternoons ! Theres your answer .Comment

Boxing is a year round sport. You dont think it's a reason to say just a quick burb on Sportsenter about Charlo vs Lubin title match leading up to the fight?Comment

Boxing is not on everyday and doesnt PLAY set number of fights per season . Thats why .
Individual sports are rarely covered unless it has a UFC like promo backing it up and has its year planned out in advance . Boxing is to wide open to get daily coverage .Comment

Every golf and tennis tournamemt is covered on Sportsenter.
Even the other sports offseasons get covered. I believe NFL Tonight or whatever it's called comes on all year round. Even in the summer.Comment

No it's too poorly organized. Sportscenter likes to be "simple". They like to have "one champion". They like to throw wind to the villains...the way they trash Mayweather and Brady for their scandals, but give them as much camera time as they do the rest of the damn sport.
One champion per One weight class. It makes the sport so, so, so, so, so simple to follow. It also reduces likelihood of ducking or dodging.
Pac and Floyd could both duck each other because they were both...somehow..."champion". At the same weight class.
Stevenson and Sergio could duck each other because both were..."champion"...at the same weight class.
And when ONLY the champs get those big money fights, everyone WANTS to be the champ. So they take more chances.
Can't tell everyone how much better boxing is, as a sport, if it reconciles each division to ONE champion.
Until then it will continue to be a stepchild with limited exposureComment

There has been multiple belts for 50+ years. This isn't something new. Ali was WBA and WBC Heavyweight champion in the 1960s.No it's too poorly organized. Sportscenter likes to be "simple". What's even worse is when they have a boxing match on ESPN they often only show a few rounds and show any other sport instead of the boxing. It could be a damn volleyball game and they will show it instead of the boxing. I think Arum ***ed up when he went over to ESPN to show his fights. They suck.Comment
