  • Comments Thread For: Joshua Promoter: No Offers From Team Parker, Only Tweets

A few days ago, Joseph Parker's promoter was furious after receiving a "ridiculously low offer" from Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn. According to David Higgins, promoter for WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs), he was shocked at the "low" offer that was presented to him from Hearn, who promotes IBF, IBO, WBA world champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs).

Plenty of times, especially when a purse bid is involved.

The one that sticks out to me is Leonard v. Hagler with Bob playing the intermediary. To my understanding Hagler lured Leonard out.

typically a purse bid is when a fight is ordered. but im more referring to a guy whos got all the economic advantage accepting a deal from someone who doesnt hold close to it.

This "no offer" stuff is complete bull****. I also don't understand this, "I emailed him. No response." stuff. Negotiations happen over the phone, by conference, etc. I have never known a deal to be negotiated through email (exclusively). The camps (promoters) should be sitting down and working on things in collaboration with one another.

Once Hearn sent the offer (according to Parker's camp), why haven't somebody from either camp picked up a phone?

This all seems like PR/press manipulation. Nothing can be taken from any of this. Its just ****** **** to keep fanboys arguing for their guy.

The simple truth Parkers ppl Higgins and Barry dont want him near Joshua . They would rather collect a few more winnable fights but instead of telling us that and misleading Parker himself they will play the twitter game like the other guy . lol

"I got this weird email from Eddie's email address, but he must have been hacked," Higgins exclusively told Sky Sports. :wank:
