Povetkin back in a few weeks, Ortiz can apply for reinstatement march 22 2018 and it's up to the WBA discretion.
He'll for sure be back in abut about year, which is not a ton longer than fighters wait in between fights anyways.
It seems boxing just doesn't have enough star power for top organizations to drop bigger name fighters, as if they would be cutting a part of their company that is producing.
This stems into a question that keeps coming to mind. What financial incentive do sanctioning bodies have for big names, fights, events ect. Do they get a cut? Is there an under the table pay out? I don't see why the organizations want the ortiz's, povetkins, pederson still fighting. Is it not dangerous? I know generally how money is divided between promoter, network, and fighter-trainer. But where do the organizations come into play-The more I look into this the more SKETCH boxing looks.
They dont regulate or ensure fairness, I think the orgs are profit machines only interesting in margin, and all of their decisions are based on such. They will always ALWAYS favor the floyds and the mcgregors.
It seems like investing in steroids far outweighs the long terms risks than not. A few impressive fights from a guy that's juicing can get him a huge Haymon or top rank contract, doesn't even seem like a good amateur career is necessary anymore. On top of that, your only looking at 18 months MAX IF you get caught.
Are using steroids in boxing actually a smart move?
