Comments Thread For: Hearn Rejects Rumors of Haye Injury, Rematch Being in Doubt

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has responded to the circulating rumors that David Haye suffered some form of injury that was severe enough to force his withdrawal from the Tony Bellew rematch, which is set for December 17th at the O2 Arena in London. The scenario is almost a replica of that happened prior to the first meeting - where there was talk of Haye suffering a bad injury where the initial bout was said to be in doubt.

Exactly! David Haye isn't losing all that money. This could be his last big payday. This has tempted me to put a bit of money down on bellew if the odds are good

no doubt. Hayes body can't hold up you could see from round one when he was dragging his foot something was up. Maybe why he was trying to blast Bellew out of there. This could be interesting again.

Rubbish he was fine, he has always blamed his losses on Injuries. This happened in the 6th round and he was supposed have knocked Bellew out by then.

Of course he’s injured he’s always injured, but those car and watch dealerships are very shiny and he wants the money, he’d show up with patch over his eye and in a neck brace if he had to

Haye's body is falling to bits, like that scene in Terminator 2 where the T-1000 gets frozen and keeps trying to walk forward but bits of it keep breaking off.

I'm in agreement with all on here - he probably isn't 100% - and the excuse it was put out to de-stabilise Bellew and his camp? How? By making Bellew not train seriously? make him over-confident? He's surely smarter than to fall for that old trick.

Haye is laying the groundwork for his loss like a proper loser would.

I think mentally it would play on anyone's mind... No doubt Bellew will still train as hard and well as he would, but it would definitely add some thoughts that wouldn't be there at all otherwise...
