An unremarkable but statistical win for Khan, wasn’t really any controversy at the time, it was maybe a split decision instead of a majority but he still got it by a slim margin. If it was Mayweather instead of Khan he’d have been given it, PAC too, in fact PAC has shadier wins for sure

        Was a great fight though.
Khan couldnt keep Peterson off of him and was resorting to shoving with his forearms, he did the same thing against Collazo. And were talking about excessive shoving, I never saw Ali shove anywhere near that much. At the end of the day it was a close fight and that was against a fairly fresh Khan, he has been inactive and has been sparked out numerous times, dont know how much he has left in his tank.

Does Khan officially retire Mayweather, Pacquiao and Marquez in 2018?

If they don't run, consider it done.

The fight was deemed an immediate rematch by the WBA because of the dodgy official and scorecard, the IBF kept their mouths shut because it was their official. Peterson tested positive for PED's and was stripped. This was a cracking fight, but Round 1 was probably a 10-8, the point deduction was nonsense and the judging was crooked.

Sorry, I can't accept this as a fair loss on the record for Khan, at best it should have been a n/c but I believe in this instance something happens to the purses (contractually) so the win remained on the Peterson record. If it had been track and field, Peterson would have had the win scrubbed and taken a long ban.

And...Ali specialised in long arm pushing his opponents off him, it was part of his game, forget forearms he straight up 'shoved' them as the rule suggests and never had a point deducted. Ali vs Fraser 1, I haven't watched it in a while but if there is less than 15 shoves I'd be very surprised https://********/ctKAGKVpCUU

People keep touting Khan's boxing skills... Yeah, for like 3 or 4 rounds. After that he's KO waiting to happen. People seem to forget he was out on his feet at one point against Maidana. Peterson started to take over the fight and that's when he resorted to pushing his head down. The ref had every right to take points. He used the same dirty tactics against Alexander and Collazo. Borderline low blow against Judah. His boxing skill is punch, punch, foul, and hug for dear life. He should've tried hugging on to Garcia and Canelo. As for as him having 3 fights in 2018, he's said a lot of sh_t that didn't come true.

fair points accept the Peterson part, the only reason he kept coming turned out to be PEDs. Also winning a fight but leaving it all in the ring effort wise like against Maidana is one of the things that makes him exciting, he still deserved the win.

The only reason I back Khan from a boxing perspective (because he seems like a d*ck in every other respect) is that he's exactly why I watch boxing. I wanna see people with freakish speed but fallible in another department. I wanna see someone like Wilder who can punch like a monster but leaves his chin flapping about. Perfect boxers are incredibly boring to watch, I can't think of many of Floyd's fights I want to see again, but Ricky Hatton...hell yeah!

2 years inactivity, last fight ended with a brutal knock-out, cuckolded by his ****** wife.

Yes, the signs are all there...King Khan will unify 147 in 2018.

I have no doubt in my mind at all.

Yes but your talking about a fairly fresh Khan, lets not forget that Khan hasnt fought for well over a year and in his last fight he was brutally KO'd, we dont know how much has left both physically and mentally. I certainly dont think he will be at the level he was when he was still active
