Double standards is common here and any other boxing site. That's just the way the world works unfortunately. Criticize a boxer with the same standard, you will be labeled as racist by the whiners.Comment

I wish everyone would shut the **** up about weight. The rules are the same for everyone, if you make the weight, you make it, end of discussion. You should be considered a fighter in that weight division. If you lose the fight because you are drained - then that is on you and is a kind of built in punishment for fighters who try to create an unnatural size advantage.
If you can make the weight tight and still be strong the following day than you have an advantage, congratulations to those fighters, its the same as being blessed with power or any other physical gift. They shouldn't be judged for using that to their advantage. At the end of the day, did they follow the rules? Did they make the weight? Yes?...OK STFU then.
Its the fighters responsibility and decision what weight they want to fight at, and what weight they will be most competitive.Comment

I think most fans complain out of frustration these days. This might be due to no longer having true elite fighters. An era is closing, and the new guys aren't yet good enough to fill the transitional gap.
Another reason is overhyping fighters before they really accomplish anything of note. I know I never bought into the Golovkin hype, for example. Instead, I ended up being a cynic.
That's my opinion.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 11-12-2017, 08:02 PM.Comment
