That's not true. ESPN has a lot of money behind this and there is no hedge-fund involved. ESPN would not send out press releases and hold press conferences to discuss a time-buy.

They wanted Top Rank and their video library to be part of that new Disney streaming service that is being planned.

Dont spread false information on here like that, it was announced a couple months ago Espn signed top rank to a 4 year deal with 18 cards in the 1st year alone. Im sure theyre paying big money if top rank left Hbo and signed exclusively with Espn. 18 cards is a lot for one promoter, I doubt Pbc had 18 cards on t.v. and they have double the fighters

Haymon is the one who does all the time buys and squandered almost a billion dollars of investors money and still couldnt get a deal. Every network passed on Pbc including Espn and Top Rank didnt have to do a single time buy and got a long term deal. All they had to do was deliver the good fights and they started with Pacquiao Horn on free t.v. Arum is the smartest in business and has always been an innovator and more peope need to give credit where its due

Some had thought other low ratings for TV boxing shows was due to the fact that there were no big names.....but none of these names last night were big, yet the ratings were high. Part of that could be attributed to the fact that ESPN is basic cable, and showtime and hbo are not. Regardless, Lom vs Rigo proves that ESPN can out on some top notch boxing shows.

            Ramirez is the reason.

Ramirez looked like a beast with those 4 straight left hooks to the body. The referee saved Reed from an absolute demolishing, Great fight and venue.
You were there? I was there too. Found it funny how the crowd cheered when they announced the last round of the boring Beterbiev fight - happy it was ending.

I kept switching back and forth but I could only do about 2 rounds of the Beterbiev fight. I also couldn't stand the constant back and forth between Teddy Atlas and the other guy. They sounded like they were ready to go to blows. That was more exciting than the actual fight.
