Didn't watch the fights last night. How did Beterbiev look, in your opinion?
Beterbiev.

He looked solid, he was careful and methodical with his shots, won every round, and got the job done in the 12th. I think Koelling just has a great ****ing chin because some of those punches were pushing his head way back. Beterbiev gained some needed experience in that fight -
For someone who is supposed to be a monster puncher he took too long to get the guy out of there. Fight almost went the distance.
In fairness inactivity could have been an issue. Perhaps he had some ring rust to work through.Comment

As his biggest fan I was disappointed to be honest. Yes he was in total control and he was easily winning every round but to sell tickets and gain a better reputation he should have finished the guy quicker ie 7-8 rounds he carried him.. He needs to work more on his combination its too predictable and his power wasn't there last night he looked really rusty... In his defense as this was for the title I can understand him not taking any risk.. We will know more when he faces top 5 guy in the division. Let's see if he swims or drowns.Comment

Looked really bad, gave up on watching, think watched up till the 4th, maybe 5th. My opinion though.Comment

won every round but just like the joshua fight the other day, cause he didnt knock the opponent out in 1 round that makes him an overrated bum.Comment

Perhaps, any smart boxer with solid amateur background who never went full distance needs to taste how 12 rounds feels like with some safe opponent before doing that in more risky fights after he gets the title?
I'm not a Beterbiev fan but in mid-rounds I knew he wanted this fight to go 12, so I've figured out that German guy gonna get stomped in the last round before it actually happened. It's not an excuse for "terrible" performance because it's not like that German sausage seller had any moments to make it competitive anyway
I understand why it was necessary from a tactical point of view.
It makes sense if you're an amateur, never been through 12 rounds and coming off after a long period of inactivityComment
