Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh - In a battle for the WBC silver super lightweight world title, Josh Taylor (11-0, 10 KOs) knocked out former world champion Miguel Vazquez (39-5, 15 KOs) in the ninth round with a right hook to the body. Coming into this fight, Vazquez had won his last four outings in a row. His last two defeats, against Mickey Bey and Argenis Mendez, were viewed as controversial. His other defeats were very early in his career, with two decision losses to Canelo Alvarez and one to Timothy Bradley.

I had Titere comfortably winning the fight before the stoppage. Vazquez has been shot for years ; can Josh Taylor even beat an Adrien Broner? be honest, no.
