UK fans seem pretty loyal. I don't see why Joshua wouldn't bounce back easily....

Other than possibly Povetkin idk who could possibly beat AJ other than Wilder. 1 loss doesn't mean sh.it.

A loss in a strong fight can enhance peoples career depending on how they handle it.

As a boxing fan I will.say no. Although British fans are loyal I wonder what some on this board would do if he lost to Wilder since they have been calling him a bum. So that also kills their argument if they try to hold a win over Wilder by AJ in high regard as well, you know, since AJ would of just beaten a bum that beats on other bums

All loses are damaging to a certain extent. English fans might remain loyal but they could never again say he was the best heavyweight in the world unless he beat Wilder in a rematch.

It would definitely be damaged but its not the damage beyond repair kind. Joshua is on his way to a stellar career and in 20 fights has the most impressive resume of any HW in recent or past time memory wheather ppl will come to grips with that or not .

A Wilder win brings that too a crashing hault , he himself is another undefeated fighter but there are LEVELS in boxing .Looking beyond the fanboyism on both sides i expect Joshua to literally run right through Wilder so IMOP a loss to Wilder would tell me he better win the rematch bc that WILL be permanently damaging to his career legacy wise ...but thats a farce losing twice when i dont see it happening once .

Not really. Sure it would diminish his popularity a bit but as we have seen with Hatton, Froch and others, UK fans will stay behind their fighters if they lose as long as they keep trying and get back out there.

See if Wilder loses, he will go back to fighting in front of 1500 people (500 comped tickets) in alabama because americans only get on board with a guy they are convinced is top level, they don't give a **** about you otherwise because american fans are just glory hounds, not real fans.

IF deontay loses he should actually stay in the uk and sign with hearn, he hot more support from british fans in his fight vs audley than he usually does in america so he actually had a uk fanbase before he started talking absoloute rubbish. But i think people in the uk would turn up to support him if he tried to rebuild there.

neither guys career would end if one got slept.

wlad was put to sleep vs worse and he ended up being the king.
