Comments Thread For: Jacobs to Arias: I'm From Brownsville; Never Run & I Never Will

NEW YORK Daniel Jacobs has heard Luis Arias criticize him for "running" all night against Gennady Golovkin. Jacobs scoffed at that contention during a press conference Thursday at the PlayStation Theater in Manhattan. The former WBA middleweight champion promised Arias that he won't do anything resembling running when they meet Saturday night in a 12-round middleweight fight HBO will televise from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Boxing scene gentrified the saying. It's supposed to be Brownsville, never ran never will. Not, I hail from Brownsville, I never run nor will I ever.

I'm from Brownsville too...them boys out there take no prisoners.

Death over dishonor is the company motto.

If Jacobs loses to Arias, it may be over...not from a boxing standpoint per se but HBO and Hearns have a lot invested in him.

Jacobs is the big favorite and rightfully so. This is a giant step up for Arias.
I'd like to see Cuba win, Jacobs has been dining out on his loss to Golovkin for a little too long.
My heart says Arias but my head says Jacobs wins easily.
