castillo couldnt make 135 so he's moving up to 140..cotto is just having just as hard a time making 140..so he's moving up to 147..the fight wont happen..hatton vs castillo is more probably or cotto vs mayweather @ 147

Yeah, I dont think anyone believed that Cotto had many more fights at 140lbs. Most people thought that he "Might" have 1 more fight with Castillo after the Paulie fight but with Cotto appearing to struggle badly to make 140lbs I think that slight chance is gone, even if Castillo had succesfully made 135lbs.Originally posted by dino
The fact that Castillo supposedly "killed himself" to make 139.5lbs would indicate that 147lbs wouldn't be unnatural for Castillo either so possibly sometime in the future there might be a Cotto vs Castillo fight. However if Arum is genuinely upset with Castillo he might keep him from big money fights like Cotto.Comment

one way or the other i hope they keep the november 11th date and put together a top notch matchup. cotto/castillo and wlads defense were setting up to be on the same MSG fight card. so hopefully they replace cotto/castillo with something good. i really want to go to NYC to see this card but only if there is more than 1 good fightComment

The fight is off not because Cotto can't cut 140 anymore, it's bec Castillo. Castillo will be sanctioned and/or suspended. Arum should be taliknig today with Hatton's camp. If that fight happens, likely will be at 140 not at 147. If that fight doesn't materialize, I heard that gatti/baldomir-cotto at 147 it's another possibility.Comment
