Showtime right now is paying higher fees for fights than HBO is, which is why Top Rank left for ESPN, because there wasn't enough budget to go around to everyone anymore and TR guys were sitting on the shelf or fighting once a year.

GBP Prez Eric Gomez even said said Showtime outbid HBO for the Garcia-Linares fight.

Mikey is all about the money, there is no doubt he is getting more in this fight and Gomez and/or GBP dont even dispute him being offered more money.

There was an interview a couple of weeks ago with Robert, said Mikey was offered Easter for December, but was going to go for something else in January for more money. Never said what the other fight was though, maybe Flanagan or Linares he was talking about. But with those gone Haymon could have offered him Easter for January
