Dmitry Bivol's debut on premium cable drew respectable ratings considering his level of opposition and the time it aired live in the United States. Bivol's first-round knockout victory over Trent Broadhurst on Saturday peaked at 356,000 viewers and drew an average audience of 341,000 for HBO, according to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. HBO is really getting a 12-round beating from the competition, as far as star power. Theyve got Canelo, GGG, and Crawford, thats it.

I don't understand why so called "fans" get giddy at low TV ratings and poorly attended bouts. It isn't good for Boxing and means matches we desire become less and less likely to happen.

I guess if it fits fanboy narratives it's cool? Be a fan of Boxing first and foremost and then follow fighters. Better than just wanting everybody and everything in the sport to fail.

Honestly had no clue they showed the fight on HBO since the fight wasn't in America
