Alright. So today at the gym, coach is getting everyone ready for the our boxing show at the end of the month.
In walks one of the gym regulars. Let's call him Ryan. Now, Ryan has been busy and hasn't been around in quite awhile, he comes when he can. Coach is trying to get this one guy I'll call Ernest some work, because he's new to our gym, but has boxed before and took a lot of time off.
Coach asks Ryan to spar Ernest. Ryan's a taken back a bit because he hasn't been training, but he agrees. They suit up and start out. Typical feel out process. A lot of jabs. Ryan lands a good right hand and pushes Ernest back. No big deal. Then Ryan gets Ernest in the corner and launches a huge uppercut that rocks Ernest. Enough for Ernest to turn his back to Ryan momentarily. They break and get back to it.
Moments later Ryan rushes Ernest into a corner and unleashes about 15 unanswered shots to a clearly hurt Ernest. Ryan backs off and asks if Ernest is okay. Overseeing the sparring, coach yells at Ryan why he's stopping. Ryan protests momentarily, but coach insists that they continue. Ernest is clearly damaged and his punches have lost their snap. With about 30 seconds to go in the round, Ernest takes an awkward step (Ernest is orthodox and Ryan is southpaw) and he stumbles backwards into the corner. Ryan comes on and starts unloading on Ernest once more. Ernest turns his back and Ryan continues to throw. Now coach has had enough.
Coach yells, "what the **** are you doing? Throwing at the man when his back is turned. What are you ******ed or something? Get the **** out of here!"
Ryan's pissed at coach. He says he's not coming back. Says goodbye to everyone and let's Ernest know that there's no hard feeling. He says goodbye to coach. Coach says, "get the **** out of here man."
Ryan turns around as he's leaving and says, "I'm 27 and I have more class than you."
Everyone in the gym saw this. Anyone ever see anything similar in the gym?
