There are 3 kinds of heavyweights today

There are 3 kinds of heavyweights today.

1: The titans. Guys like Joshua, Fury, Klitschko, Wilder, Ortiz, generally the giants who are several leagues above the rest of the division.
2: The fatter-than-tall slobs. Povetkin, Pulev, Stiverne, Hammer. They are not exciting to watch anymore and they always lose when they face the titans.
3: The rest are guys like Parker, Hughie, Browne, etc. They are okay. Not fatter-than-tall enough to be boring, not titatic enough to be elite. They are neither relevant nor irrelevant. Their fate is probably to be good wins on the records of the titans.

    Agree?

Well. We see no Tyson-Frazier style body attackers today, we see no size-independent pure Evander Holyfield skilled fighters, etc. It's not all about size. The fat guys today just happen to be very boring and useless, while the smaller guys today all just happen to be "okay"...

Boxing has certainly changed a lot. Soon, they will probably have to make a higher weight class to force the big men to fight each other.

It is Ironic how the slobs ( Ortiz and Poverkin) are the guys who are the most skilled and slipping and countering.
