Porter made some good improvements in the Granados fight.

He's better at leading with his right, along with good head movement while coming forward and especially on his body attack, he didn't smother THAT much to it IMO.

The Granados that fought Porter that night IMO would have beat Broner and M. Garcia.

Improvements? Head movements? You mean his head-buts!

Yeah I don't like the last round, but most of the fight had me rolling on the couch in excitement with some friends and my wife.

He reminds me of a small Leon Spinks. Swarming, get's off first, get's in too close to hit square, does it with "hustle".

He still fought like a linebacker and was actually being pushed back in spots and clipped against a 140 pounder. Spence would easily destroy him and I hope he does because I'm tired of his head butting style.

He showed some boxing ability for like a minute and then went right back to mauling. Porter is good at what he does but there was no improvement last night.

I said years ago and I'm saying it now, Porter is basic...basic basic basic.

BUT he is strong, persistent and makes for good viewing at times. I did feel the fight was closer than the way it was scored but the right guy won. Then again, Granados is a c level slugger at best these days.

Anyway, Porter beat Thurman imo but his style wont change, Thurmans style wont change. The judges will simply rip him off again. I think his best bet is fighting Spence.
