This excuse laden rhetoric by AJ and Hearn is getting really old.

I kind of side with this way of thinking. Joshua has definitely paid himself a disservice by getting as big as he can - his stamina was questionable anyway and his chin has shown it isn’t exactly the best. I think he’s trying to be heavier so he can take shots better in all honesty. But yeah, if Joshua is gassed and got rocked against Wilder there is no chance in hell he could cope with Wilders crazy attacks. Vs Wladimir he needed more than a round to compose himself, something the older Klitshcko was happy to oblige...Wilder not so much.

AJ needs to lose weight, bottom line. Wilder might be the butt of some jokes for being built ‘slimmer’ shall we say, but the bottom line is - in a fight, whose build will pay off? Would you rather be a big chunk of 250+ muscle or a trim 220?

AJ do need to come in 10-15lbs lighter. He doesnt fight in a way that justifies having such a weight advantage.

It is, I’m a big fan of Joshua but lately their reasoning is hard to side with. The U.K casual fanboys don’t see that though, they just lap up all their rhetoric and probably can’t contain their excitement at the thought of Haye fighting AJ next summer or whatever...let’s get real.

You have Wilder standing there saying let’s go, and you have AJ standing behind Hearn while he spouts off reasons as to why the world needs to wait. The fight needs to happen, so act that way. Pretty suspect from that side lately. Big fan like I said, but it’s hard to side with a team that talk around things and mention everyone and everything else when the other team are standing ready to go.

About 100kg is enough, even 95kg ala Marciano and Holyfield before he bulked up further. Tyson was about 220lbs (99kg) or so as well. I used to favour Joshua but he's a bit slow and mechanical, whilst Wilder is faster and has bigger one punch power, albeit a few defensive deficiencies. Fury would be a tougher challenge if he gets in some decent shape again, and I do not mean round shape.

Of course I have to correct one thing, Marciano was around 85 to 90kg, but I stand corrected.
