Shame for McDonnell, getting that cut and forcing the technical draw. Bigger shame for the boxing public that he didn’t get beaten by Solis again so we could see the back of his boring-arsed fights.

Chisora looked like he always does, but even slower. That prancing German guy is probably the worst fighter he’s ever lost to and his days as a gatekeeper for the world level are over. Reckon he’ll cash out against Joyce as there’s no way Hearn or Warren will risk Okolie or Dubois.

Eubank fight was a nailed-on draw, assuming you don’t count the knockdown the useless ref missed.

Good to see Scott Quigg blocking punches with his head as per usual. Freddie Roach working wonders there. He’s a hard, hard man, Quigg, but all the elite guys in that stacked featherweight division (Santa Cruz, Mares, Selby, Russell Jnr., Frampton again) are going to pick him off with ease. Stoppage tonight was premature, but I doubt that the Ukrainian was going to go much more than a round further. Quigg was taking him apart with brute force.
