Not really - Duran vs Leonard, Duran vs Barkley, Leonard vs Hagler, Pacquiao vs DLH, Guillermo Jones going up in weight and Holyfield too. Andre Ward vs Kovalev. Bhop vs Tarver, Martinez vs Pavlik, Cotto vs Martinez, Mayweather vs Castillo, Mayweather vs DLH, Mayweather vs DLH. James Toney eating all the way to heavyweight. Juan Guzman when he was going up in weight. JMM vs Casamayor, Tito vs Joppy, Bellew and Hay fighting as heavyweight and winning. Shane Mosley going up in weight to fight DLH. Winky Wright vs Jermain Taylor. Ouma vs Jantuah. Canelo vs GGG.

You're overrating Lomachenko or underrating Rigondeaux who's one of the best amateurs ever lived.

400 wins, do I have to remind you that? He might be the best, or one of the best Cuban boxer ever too. He's ATG and living legend of amateur boxing and you say that kind of talent would lose THAT easily to Lomachenko? Plus they have stipulated weight clause for Loma anyway

Has his chin been tested? I know, Rigo may be chiny...

rigondeaux has been down against much, much lesser fighters. smaller guys, journeymen, washed up fighters, etc.

lomachenko has fought bigger punchers, including nicholas walters, who hit harder than donaire at the end of his career and in his 4th or 5th weight class. saldo beat lomachenko, but FFS it was his second fight, and it was close. lomachenko had made his adjustments literally during the fight learnign on the job, and was taking it to a veteran late in the fight. yeah, he was younger, but he also took the guy's best gas and came on late in his second freaking fight.

lomachenko's going to win either on activity, or via knockout.

he's giving up 10 lbs and he hardly has any weight to give up. he's also reportd to be in his mid-late 30's, but FFS we all know the cubans are older than they say they are. he's probably at least 40 years old.

Rigo hurted fighters who weighted just as much as Lomachenko with that clause. That big ass Japanese guy for example

Lomachenko via KO won't happen, from what I've heard he has metal plate in his wrist since amateur days so he doesn't throw all these combos with a lot of power behind them. Matter of fact, every punch can end his career. Rigo is the guy who will have more power in this fight

that big ass japanese guy was a 122-126 lber who has never won a fight outside of a local venue called the korakuen hall.

let's try and keep that in perspective.

It doesn't matter because Rigondeaux was never stunned with these knockdowns. It'd be better to get dropped like Rigondeaux than getting beat down to a pulp and KO'd while you're standing like Kudryashov/Duradola or Ward/Kovalev

It's not like a lot of time passed since the moment when Lomachenko was 126 lber too

It's not the strongest punch that gets you dropped, it's usually the punch that you don't see coming. Especially if we talk about elite caliber of fighters who know how to soften the punch and not German sausage sellers or farmers from Argentina who's being sacrificed to Beterbiev
