McGregor would lose to Horn, he loses to anyone even semi decent. The guy sucks at boxing.

The UFC is definitely big and organizes the huge PPVs, but even if you're their big draw fighter you're still just one among many and you never have the kind of attention and freedom that the boxing stars get. Even on Conor's UFC cards he wasn't the sole focus of the attention, there were guys like Weidman (2x), Lawler, Rory Mac, Woodley, Holly Holm, Joanna and others who fought on Conor's cards and got a ton of limelight as well. Dana White also wants to be in the center of the attention and puts himself above the fighters. Basically the UFC brand comes first, then there's Dana White and only then come their stars. The fighters don't even get to have their own sponsors and their own unique equipment, they don't get grand entrances either. Just regular walk out in a Reebok tracksuit like it's some bush league event.
When you're a top draw in boxing EVERYTHING revolves around you and you have a total freedom to do anything you want. Boxing has that extra bit of class and prestige that the UFC will never have. For example in boxing Conor could fight in Dublin on a big stadium right away, get to wear some stylish Irish-themed trunks and get a Klitschko-style entrance for himself on a card organized by his own promotional company where he would get like 70% of the revenue. Anyone who thinks that Conor would rather fight in the UFC in Reebok panties doesn't understand the fight game. The reason why Conor will probably stay in MMA is because he's under contract with the UFC and because deep down he knows he's not good enough to be championship-level in boxing. He would lose to someone like Horn easily and then the hype would be completely gone.

I remember when everyone (myself included) was calling him jim horn, james horn, jack horn etc etc
Jeff got the hometown decision which threw him on the international stage. I'm not saying Jeff Horn is here to stay, but I don't see people making fun of his name, which people will remember. This chalky has a heart the same size as a blue whale.
