Jack was the WBA Regular champion, Ward was the true champ at the time he vacated. The writing needs to be clearer.

Jack is looking for high profile money fights. He's fought plenty of guys like Bivol in the last few years. There's no reason why the Bivol fight makes sense for him at this point in his career.

We don't even know how good this guy is yet. To suggest Jack was worried about him is laughable.

Jack fans are using some weird excuse that Hearn made Jack drop the belt if he beats Cleverly and that's why he dropped it.

Why would Hearn make Jack drop the belt? it's not even his fighter lol. Makes no sense. What does Hearn gain out of Jack dropping the belt?

Jack dropped it because Bivol is very high risk-low reward and he's looking for money fights. Can't blame him but that's the truth.

Where exactly do you see this excuse being detailed? I'm not familiar with the Hearn argument you're making.

It's obvious why he vacated. He's old, been in some battles, and is trying to get 2 or 3 more paydays before it's over (or he falls into obscurity). Nobody knows who this Bivol guy is and he's fought no one of significance. Its a pointless fight for Jack.

Some people on here said it when i said Jack vacated because Bivol is a risky fight, for very little in return and said it's a duck whichever way you look at it, but an understandable one.

I like Jack, but I cannot make any sense out his move. Harcore fans would be foaming at the mouth to see two hard-hitting come forward fighters like Bivol and Jack get it on.

The prevailing attitude or excuse commonly given now is 'not enough money in this fight.'

Is that ALL it's about? where's the pride? This fight, if promoted right would have done ok. Jack's not such a massive star that he can just sit around and wait for six, seven figure pay-days only.

And saying he's gunning for Stevenson is like saying 'I don't feel like training or fighting for six months. That's the minimum it's going to take, probably more.

If he's chasing the winner of Kovalev Shabranskyy, then he's putting himself in the backseat, for who's to say the WBO belt holder will immediately agree to Jacks demands?

He really has ****ed himself. Losing to Bivol wouldn't have been the end of the world, all I can say is it sounds like Jacks losing interest in the sport aand just wants to cash out.
