Also, everyone understands why the Porter-Garcia fight was neccessary. Both lost to Thurman and both want a rematch, but Thurman likely can/will only rematch one of them before he fights Spence. So the fight would have served as an eliminator of sorts to see who deserves the rematch.

Besides, wasn't the fight between these two ACTUALLY mandated by the wbc as an OFFICIAL eliminator?
No I agree with you, Porter-Garcia made a lot of sense. Just, so did Spence-Porter... Porter wants another shot at Thurman, Spence wants his first shot at Thurman...

What posts have I made in the past that you've disagreed with so much? I see you have Loma as your avatar, he is my #1 P4P boxer and I am always defending him seeing as he fought Salido, GRJ, and Walters, and even tried to fight Rigo at 126 two years ago but it was Rigo who turned down that fight not Loma. So are you sure you're not confusing me with a Loma hater or someone else?

other than Canelo, there really isn't another fighter Danny's age or younger that has faced better opposition. He gets heat for the salka fight etc, but he's still been in the ring with some top fighters. Not sure Thurman muzzled them by winning a competitive decision. Not liked he whooped him or anything. They'll be back talking that **** soon enough.

If boxing had many competent reporters and journalists, one of them would have asked that question by now.
That’s true. Porter is willing to fight just about anybody at WW but Spence. It doesn’t seem like he wants to see him.

Danny fought: Thurman, Guerrero, Peterson, Matthysse, Judah, Khan, Morales twice...lost only against Thurman, by SD.

Tell me haters, how is he a joke? Which fighter, involving Canelo, fights better opposition?

If the ref enforces the rules, Garcia would counter Porter all 12 rounds and win an easy UD. A repeat of Garcia vs. Mattyhsee. Difference is Lucas had power while Porter has pillow fists and just mauls you with his head until he gets a win. Garcia needs a tune up fight then he can slaughter Porter.

Garcia has shown little interest in being the top dog at 147. He is still licking his bruised ego from the Thurman loss. Guys like him hinged their legacy on the precious "0" in the loss column. I doubt he looks for any big challenges from this point forward. Collazo, Victor Ortiz, Salka, Rios, Alvarado, all better stay close to their phones when Danny decides to dust off his trunks and get back in the ring. Porter, Thurman, Spence, Crawford won't be getting that call.

They were all damaged goods, which is why he picked them for so long. The first undefeated fighter he faced was Thurman and came up short, so back to the old warhorses again.
