  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder vs. Bermane Stiverne II: A Product of Chaos

By Cliff Rold - Few fans are all that excited. It's not even clear the fighters are particularly pumped. Regardless, the rematch between WBC heavyweight titlist Deontay Wilder and Bermane Stiverne is happening this weekend (Showtime, 9 PM EST/6 PM PST). Wilder won almost every round the first time around. He's heavily favored to win again. With an assist from a positive test for banned substance that led to a cancelled clash with Alexander Povetkin along the way, Stiverne has fought only once since that loss in January 2015...

"It’s easy to be undefeated against the top forty guys in the WBC ratings when you haven’t fought any of them. That’s not a misprint.* Wilder is rated number one by the WBC and hasn’t faced one guy rated in the 39 slots below him. "

I stopped there bc its absolutely worse than i thought or remembered , im guessing the fanatics will justify this somehow ?

        Suspect movement

I ask the same question of Lou Dibella. What the fuck Bermane Stiverne did to warrant the Mandatory spot. Wilder beat him easily, then, a Journeyman knock down Stiverne in the first round; but, he win and that inactivity. This is suspect, this smell fishy to me. MMMM... DON!

That is embarrassing yet people are claiming he is the best heavyweight along with AJ and doesnt need to prove himself.

What dreadful ratings across the board in the heavyweight division! perhaps the worst in the entire sport of boxing.

Lets face it these haters are just going to talk about the disarray within the World Boxing Council and ignore the reason behind it all, but their commentary is minimal towards the WBA & WBO awarding a repeated drug offender ( Alexander Pedvetkin ) minor titles and even a eliminator! this same man is the cause of all this 'Chaos' yet these same 'fans' will abuse Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder for fighting a FORMER champion in Bermane Stiverne but will GLADLY watch Alexander Pedvetkin vs. Christian Hammer for the opportunity to compete for the WBO HW title...yes indeed I think agendas are at work here.

The nerve of posting articles directing heat to a role model in this corrupt division! its the last thing casuals need to be reading.

Moron that was in 2015 when he hadn't fought anyone & wasn't champ yet, since then hes literally taken on the toughest challengers AJ was ducking,by signing to fight the literal supposed best opponents available, its not his fault those opponents were a bunch of ped cheating cowards that have derailed his career,& he even had to sue their sorry asses.

I actually think the BB is in a dangerous fight here. I know nothing of the condition of either fighter, but Stiverne is a decent counterpuncher. Seems like Paulie agrees...
