Nearly 40 and 1 fight in 3 years, not a good combo, he got dropped hard by Rossy, I see him getting stopped mercifully in 10 rounds. Should have stayed active, the rust will show.

Personally, I'd like to see if Wilder will be effective in taking him out quickly. As much as I'm a fan and I feel he's the most dangerous heavy out there, I'll be the first to admit he's not the most technical fighter in the division. He gets popped in the face a few times in each of his bouts so his head movement could be better, doesn't have a laser jab and windmills a few here and there, his athleticism is what keeps winning fights for him.

If he labors against a sluggish Stivern and takes the whole bout to figure out how to hurt him, that's okay, but if he closes in like a cat and pounces early for a stoppage, that would do well in his bid for unification.

It might be interesting to see if he can get an early KO.

He did nothing but walk in a circle in the 1st fight and now he's basically retired. Should be a barnburner.

He was set to fight Povetkin for the mando spot and Povetkin tested positive so they just gave it to him I guess.

I think he should still have had to beat someone.

Actually, I don't think he should've been in a fight for the mando spot at all.

I wonder - do many former champions fight for the mando spot after losing their belt? Maybe that's just how the WBC does things? Idk, but Stiverne is hot doodoo and so is this matchup.

It wasn't a good fight the first time. What makes you think an older, fatter Stiverne will be better.

Everyone can comment on photos all they like but Stiverne looked better than Wilder did in actually hitting them !

Meanwhile he still has Joshua on his mind and seems like he cant fathom or figure out how Joshua has become the face of HW boxing ( i dont know Wilder thats a tough one ...NOT ) that he has to constantly bring him up even after his public work outs !

Dont be shocked by an upset here i think Wilder is mentally rattled will be in a war on Saturday and the distractions from the Ortiz situation will not benefit him here either .
