now I know that you know boxing and if we were to discuss boxing, we'd probably agree on most things BUT, we are never going to agree on Oscar and Canelo. I don't hate on them because they're Mexican, I have been fans of many Mexican fighters, but I honestly think that you only defend them because they're Mexican. With Oscar, I never liked him. Not as a fighter and definitely not as a promotor. I disliked him before I knew he was a cross dressing coke head. As a fighter I've respected his accomplishments because he fought mostly everyone that mattered but I always felt he was a hypocrite. I didn't like that he chose to fight an old washed Chavez not once but twice to try and build himself up, i didn't like that he never sought rematches with Whitaker or Trinidad, didn't like how he played games with vargas and backed out of a fight with him multiple times before finally facing him. As a promotor, he's tried to act as if he wants to make the best fights but he clearly has gone out of his way to manipulate the Canelo /ggg scenario. He trashed cotto for dropping the wbc mw belt and called it a disgrace but then had Canelo do the same exact thing 6 months later. He tried to play like ggg didn't deserve ppv cut but meanwhile Canelo vs ggg did almost as many ppvs canelos 3 ppvs vs khan, beefy and Chavez combined. As a fan, I know that there are business moves that promotors make but I want to see fights get made when they should. Mayweather fighting pac several yrs after the fight should've happened is bull**** for boxing fans. Watching Canelo spend almost 2 yrs fighting no hope opponents and waiting for ggg to slow down is not what I care to see as a fan. Now, if Canelo ends up fighting a ggg leftover in lemieux and Oscar tries to push a rematch with ggg back another yr, that's not what boxing fans should want. If Canelo wasn't Mexican you'd probably agree. The biggest name In the sport shouldn't keep fighting 2-3 lower level fighters before fighting an A class opponent and that seems to be Oscar's routine with Canelo.

Canelo is waiting until next year so GGG gets even older, I think GGG will be 36.
GGG should fight someone now to keep active.
Maybe judges should be anonyous so fighters aren't robbed. I thought GGG won about 8-4 or 7-5.

Your strawman article fails to mention how ggg entire career up until Canelo and Jacobs jas beem against no hopers.
While Canelo at 27 has already fought 3 P4P top 10 guys. 1 was the #1 While the other most consider the #1.

Trout gave Charlo hell and he was like 33 years old compared to PRIME 27, undefeated and coming off career win.

I am fully aware of gggs level of opponents and have never denied it, but you act as if these guys that Canelo fought would've fought ggg. Other than Lara who had called out ggg, you think Floyd, cotto or trout would've fought ggg at any point over the last 3 yrs?? You should know that a fighters popularity is what determines the ease ay which they can land fights. Nobody will decline a fight with Canelo, ggg on the other hand was considered too risky with not enough reward. As far as canelo vs ggg, anybody with common sense knows which group wanted that fight to happen and which group pushed it back until they felt it was a more winnable fight. Canelo was very fortunate to get a draw vs a version of ggg that is in his mid 30s and showing signs of slipping. What do you think would've happened 2 yrs ago?Comment
