  • Comments Thread For: WBC Issues Ruling on Luis Nery, Must Face Yamanaka Again

On October of 2016, Luis Nery enrolled in the WBC Clean Boxing Program's ("CBP") out-of-competition anti-doping testing by virtue of being rated in the top 15 in the bantamweight division of the WBC world ratings. On August 22, 2017, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) reported to the WBC that Mr. Nery's "A" sample collected on July 27, 2017 in Tijuana, Mexico, yielded adverse analytical findings for Zilpaterol (the "Finding").[1] The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) includes Zilpaterol its list of banned substances, which list VADA uses as reference, thus making Zilpaterol banned under the WBC Clean Boxing Program in which Mr. Nery is enrolled. Mr. Nery did not request analysis of the corresponding "B" sample.

The WBC dealt with an adverse finding for Clembuterol in another WBC World Championship fight (Vargas v. Salido), which finding resulted from a sample collected several weeks before the fight. In that case, the WBC found that the fighter in question (Vargas) tested positive for that substance due to ingestion of contaminated beef and beef products in Mexico. The WBC's ruling in that case subjected the fighter to a strict pre-fight testing regime. All subsequent tests were negative and the fight took place without any incident.

How is mentioning another failed case in this matter help the WBC's intergrity? so basically you guys concluded that vargas eat contaminated meat based on what? and therefore Nery too can 'eat' contaminated meat? and participate in a boxing contest with all the added benefits of the banned substances that VADA prohibits?

And dont get me started on Zilpaterol cause Memo Heredia already exposed your ass Suliman! this is a disgrace to Yamanaka and clean fighters all over the world -- I'm logging off this is too much!

        Stop saying sh.i.t.

The clembuterol and zalpiterol on the meat is a big problem in Mexico.

The national team of soccer had the same problem years ago.

Nobody use clembuterol in boxing because is Stu.pid.

Nery was clean in all the 3 tests that had in Japan.

Nery always looked strong and powerful in his career.

Naturally he is a great athlete.

He thrown like 650 punches in 6 rounds vs David Sánchez.

Nery will destroy again your boy.

Why is it only Mexicans that can get with the 'tainted meat' excuse?

Lucas Browne tried that exuse and they stripped him of his title and banned and fined him.

But a Mexican just has to fight the same guy again? probably juiced to the gills again, smh

So the WBC concludes that Nery is clean yet they order a rematch?
                  How does that make sense?
                  Rematch for what?
                  A sense of guilt?
