That’s the same question I ask myself every time. It’s like this guy (Rubio with the WBC) and Fred oqueno (Name?) with the WBA...

People here acting like Don King has more pull with the WBC than Al Haymon does in 2017. My belief is that Stiverne was made Wilder's mandatory on Al Haymon's orders, which Don King was obviously thrilled with, because Haymon already had it set up with VADA that the Ortiz fight would never be allowed to happen in order to protect Wilder's weak chin and the "money fight" with Joshua in 2018. So Haymon had Stiverne put as mandatory so that Wilder could have another old, smaller, no risk opponent to fight once they used VADA to get Ortiz out of the way.

        This allowed them to:

        1. Hype Wilder more by making a matchup with a decent opponent
        2. Without having to risk the Joshua money in 2018 by actually having Wilder face the first decent opponent of his career
        3. Get Wilder an easy opponent instead who they already know he can beat easily
        4. Get Ortiz out of both Wilder and Joshua's way not just for this fight, but for the next 12+ months, enough time to make the money fight

This is just my opinion of what really happened. Everyone wants to just assume the obvious, as if boxing is this straightforward sport, and nothing corrupt could ever happen. In reality, no top Al Haymon cash cow has ever been popped for PEDs in all the years he's been in boxing, but the only two potential threatening opponents of Wilder's career get popped, back-to-back, right at the perfect time to keep him protected for the Joshua fight, and instead of him having to fight a legit mandatory against someone good, they have the replacement opponent set up as Bermaine Stiverne. Everything fell perfectly in place for Al Haymon... yall really think that's an accident? Keep in mind, no one has gotten more favoritism from the WBC the last decade than Al Haymon has. The WBC is to Al Haymon as the WBO is to Bob Arum. And now once again you have the WBC and Al Haymon involved in a situation where everything falls perfectly the way Haymon would have wanted it, but yall think thats just an accident, and both Povetkin and Ortiz just randomly popped for PEDs while no "name" Haymon boxers, or cash cow of any promoter, ever gets popped by VADA?

It seems to me like VADA usually protects money fighters by never popping them for PEDs, and that this time, they simply did the opposite: protect the money, in this case Wilder and Joshua, by popping the only two dangerous mandatory challengers in the division so that Wilder and Joshua wouldn't have to risk losing to them before the money fight could get made (but mostly Wilder).

But, that's just my personal, subjective OPINION.

Your an absolutely ******ed for blaming Wilder for Ortiz not disclosing his banned meds because he was obviously juicing AGAIN,thats why he supposedly missed his flight & press conference,so he could clear it outta his system. Are you that ****ing ******ed to act like VADA doesn't enforce the same rules to everyone or that Wilder can bribe the most respected,& largest testing org on earth?

Wtf does Wilder have to do with the drug cheat acting as if hes the ******est man on earth that somehow supposedly didn't know to disclose his meds?

Theres so many idiots on here who should be banned starting with you whos the leader of the great white hypers.

This is a potentially easy stay busy fight for Wilder, since Ortiz got caught cheating. After this, maybe we'll finally get Wilder vs AJ. What's Lou all worked up about? Is he afraid that a hungry Stiverne will show up and give the performance of his career? If so, great, this is boxing. If not, well it's still boxing.
